Regular readers of this site may recall last year when I did coverage of the inaugral EB Games Expo event, a yearly event held by major game selling chain EB Games and acts as a consumer expo to give those who attend a look at all the titles they will have on their consoles in the coming months. Last year it was held at the Gold Coast Convention Center but this year they have chosen to take a jump to the Sydney Showground with the event being held from the 5th – 7th of October.
Organizers of the expo have set of “Project Gamer”, which poses the question to fans “What Gamer are You?”, overall allowing gaming fans the opportunity to become the face of the EB Games Expo 2012! Project Gamer launches with two very special events
1. Saturday 16th June at EB Games Albert St, Brisbane
2. Saturday 23rd June at EB Games Westfield Parramatta, NSW
Film crews will be on hand to capture the most passionate gaming fans explaining just what type of gamer they are. Fans outside of these areas won’t miss out either, as the promotion will extend to online, giving people the opportunity to film themselves and upload in HD to YouTube. This footage will be compiled to make one massive Project Gamer reel featuring Australia’s most dedicated gamers, and will air across the weekend of the Expo, October 5th to 7th.
