As a way of of honouring those who serve in the UEE Navy and other armed forces, aerospace and defence manufacturers across the galaxy come together for Invictus Launch Week, to provide the chance to show off their latest innovations keeping the interstellar military going.
Developer Cloud Imperium Games have today kicked off their 2021 festivities, and from now until 1 June 2021, all players (whether backers or through the game’s free flight campaign) are invited to microTech, Stanton to test-fly military-inspired vehicles, discover new vehicles and, if lucky enough, tour an in-service Javelin destroyer.
With the show floors being presented in waves, for the next couple of days you will be able to view and tour around the ships of four in-game manufacturers: RSI: Roberts Space Industries, Origin Jumpworks, Consolidated Outland and ARGO Astronautics.

For those will full wallets willing to pledge more money towards the game OR looking to reshuffle their current pledged ships – CIG have commenced a concept scale for Roberts Space Industries’ new Heavy Dogfighter – the RSI Scorpius. As with most dog fighters, you are pretty much pledging towards a ship that you can only sit in, with no tourable interior. However it is one of the more expensive-to-pledge-for ships of its class, meaning theoretically it could be quite the powerful craft. Pledges are available for $220.00 USD (Warbond) or $242.00 (When purchased with some degree of store credit). You can learn more about the ship HERE.

In development by Cloud Imperium Games and their studios across North America and Europe, Star Citizen is being helmed by Wing Commander (1990s) creator Chris Roberts. The game has currently been in a long-term alpha phase with no confirmed release date. Despite this, the studio has raised more than $350 million USD through on-going crowdfunding. Please keep in mind should you decide to purchase towards Star Citizen, that this is an incomplete project and that you are pledging towards an extended crowdfunding campaign with no 100% guarantee of a finished product.
