A couple of months after first shutting down performances in line with best recommendations by the Victorian and Australian Governments, the producers of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child have unsurprisingly confirmed that a further month of performances at the Princess Theatre will be postponed.
This announcement affects performances to be held on Wednesday 3 June 2020 to Sunday 28 June 2020, with further suspensions likely to be looked at in the coming month. Fortunately, due to the somewhat indefinite nature of its season, those who had tickets to the highly-commended show won’t just miss out on seeing it unlike some other major theatrical productions across the country.
As a short term fix, those who held tickets for performances during this period will be automatically moved to an alternative date commencing Wednesday 25 November 2020 onward. This might raise a few eyebrows, but at the very least it ensures no deviation from the seat you initially booked. Interstate visitors, international visitors, and those who cannot make the revised time will have other “provisions” made available to them.
