[E3 2016] B.U.D. Is Heading to the Moon in ‘Grow Up’ This August

Gamers were first introduced to B.U.D. in the 2015 adventure-platformer Grow Home, which saw players climbing a giant plant in order to save its planet. The game was the winner of the first ever “PlayStation Plus Vote to Play” survey last year, which not only meant it was temporarily available as a free download to all PlayStation Plus subscribers, but also gained exposure to players who may not have otherwise given it a chance. For whatever reason, it seems that the demand was there for a sequel, as Ubisoft have announced that they are working on a successor titled Grow Up.

Grow Up will see players guiding the little robot around an entire alien world, as he embarks on a mission that will see him leap, roll, bounce and fly his way through a virtually boundless world. This task will see B.U.D. joined by best friend POD, a flying robot who likes planets a little bit too much.

B.U.D. must use his veritable tool belt of abilities to traverse the planet. Using the new Floradex, players can put their own stamp on the world by cloning any of the 24 plant types to catapult, shoot or float through the lush landscape filled with surprise discoveries. With all-new timed challenges, collectibles and abilities, players have an option to tackle each mission head-on, or spend time navigating the landscape at their own leisure

Developed by a small team at Ubisoft Reflections, Grow Up will be available worldwide on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC platforms in August 2016. This is a digital-exclusive title, with no physical edition in the works.
