Although they have previously noted that its battle system has been inspired by Chrono Trigger, up until now we haven’t had the chance to see actual gameplay footage of I am Setsuna. Only a few months from launch, Square Enix and the development team at Tokyo RPG Factory have shared their first gameplay trailer for the PlayStation 4 and PC role-playing game.
Coming in at just over two minutes in length, this video provides a decent glimpse at I am Setsuna’s battle system. But aside from the non-ingame footage presented, it also provides a look at cutscene snippets, the English voice-acting (Presumably of Setsuna) and the approach to design undertaken by the development team.
I am Setsuna will launch on July 19 2016 for the PlayStation 4 and PC.
