Sekai Project Uncertain on CLANNAD Physical Copies Outside Crowdfunding Campaign

The team at Sekai Project have every reason to celebrate, with their Kickstarter campaign for an English localization of CLANNAD reaching more than $550,000 in pledges. One of the best deals of the campaign in my mind was the $50 Kickstarter exclusive first press copy of CLANNAD which also includes physical copies of the CLANNAD Mabinogi Arrange Album and 80-page physical CLANNAD Fanbook.

While Sekai Project have made it clear that anyone will be able to buy the visual novel through Steam when it launches (Estimated launch date: October 2015), they are unable to give an answer on if non-backers will be able to purchase some form of physical edition at a later date.

In response to a question on their Tumblr page inquiring if the CLANNAD Kickstarter is the only way of getting a physical copy, Sekai Project responded with “Right Now, Yes”. They do however mention that discussions are on-going about the prospect of an additional non-crowdfunding physical edition, and will make an announcement if anything changes.

If a physical release does become available purchase outside of the original crowdfunding period, I would expect it to be more expensive and/or lack some or all of the bonus goodies.
