With only thirteen hours left in their Kickstarter campaign for Key’s Classic Visual Novel, CLANNAD, Sekai Project have been able to successfully pass the $500,000 pledge mark out of an original $140,000 goal. Highlighting a demand within the international market, with over 5,300 individuals pledging funds to the campaign, this means that Key’s 2004 visual novel will be localized into English and officially published in both digital and physical formats for the first time.
If you cannot pledge the $30 for at least a digital copy of CLANNAD at this time but want to in the near future, Sekai Project are encouraging you to donate at least $1. This will allow you to purchase CLANNAD after the Kickstarter closes from BackerKit [More Information]. Otherwise, pledges can still be made for the next half-day or so via their Kickstarter page.
Update: As kindly pointed out to me by @waterflame321, Sekai Project also ran their own crowdfunding site which supported Paypal. They were able to raise an additional $10,260 through that page – bringing the current pledge total to over $522,000. Pledges through this page were discontinued earlier today.

So who said it couldn’t be done? No seriously who did, cause I was sure they’d do well, but didn’t imagine Sekai would stretch it across 45 days; seriously I’m hoping the next one will be the simple 30 day format.
