As confirmed by Hanabee Entertainment last week, every Friday afternoon at 3PM during the month of August, they will begin streaming a complete anime series via their official website. They kicked things off with WATAMOTE: No Matter How I Look at It, It’s You Guys’ Fault I’m Not Popular, and have now decided to make this weeks release the entire first season of The Familiar of Zero.
The Familiar of Zero was released by the Australian anime publisher in May this year on both DVD and Blu-ray. While the home video releases feature a hybrid dub, the online stream will only feature the original Japanese voice-overs with English subtitles. Check it out HERE.
There’s a fine line between familiar and slave.
Louise Francoise Le Blanc de La Valliere, nicknamed “Louise the Zero” because of her terrible magical skills, has just reaffirmed her title. Instead of summoning a fierce mythical creature to be her familiar, during her second year exam, she gets a human instead!
This human familiar is named Hiraga Saito, a normal teenage boy from Tokyo, who was plucked from his home and inducted into magical servitude. Now he’s stuck with a master he has no idea how to serve and with magic neither of them know how to use. But for better or for worse they’re forever bonded and the quicker they learn how to work together the higher the potential of them graduating from this academy.
