While MangaGamer only recently came out with ten visual novel acquisition announcements at Anime Expo 2013 last July, the company have brought five new announcements at this weekends Otakon 2013 anime convention. These titles are all targeted at the 18+ eroge market and are a range of sequels and new titles from their partners.
Specific release dates were not provided by the company, but I would expect to see them start coming out in late-2013 or 2014. Information on each of the five titles are below:
The first title announcement is for fans of OVERDRIVE titles, with them confirming the acquisition of d2b vs DEARDROPS -Cross the Future-!. When Riho sees Shoichi performing on stage with Kirari, her jealousy burns bright, and she welcomes him back to Japan with a flying kick to the face! So when Kirari asks if DEARDROPS will perform at her upcoming anniversary concert, the gloves come off. The Second Literature Club Band and DEARDROPS… what will happen when these two bands clash? How will they change each others’ lives as they both prepare for this battle of the bands?
The second announcement is a sequel of Softhouse Seal’s Boob Wars. Simply titled Boob Wars 2, it is generally what you would expect from the series – only this time there is set to be FOUR TIMES as much boob (or lack there-of). Oh…. and if you are not a fan of either extreme size there will also be some average chests added to the mix.
They have also confirmed something special for fans of their Da Capo franchise with the acquisition of both Da Capo 3 R and Da Capo 3 R X-Rated (So it is available as either an all-ages or R18+ title). 20 years after the Cherry Blossom withered at the end of Da Capo 2, it finally blooms once more, and Sakura returns to Hatsune Island. As a new generation attempts to unravel the mysteries of the Cherry Blossom and its magic, a new Sakura appears before them to tell the tale of London, over a century ago, when all of them first met… Both editions will be released simultaneously.
From their new partners at Moonstone, MangaGamer plan to release Princess Evangile. This massive moege covers an entire year with great detail, split up over more than 26 different chapters, tons of event CG covering everything from special events to daily moments, and more H-scenes than any other game from the Moonstone brand! (MangaGamer wish to clarify that this is the Moonstone and not Moonstone Cherry brand they are talking about) There’s also lots of SD sprites, cut-ins, and other screen effects to bring this cute game to life. If you’ve ever dreamt of spending an entire year surrounded by pretty girls, then this huge game may for you.
The final announcement for the event is for the fans of Shuffe! and Tick Tack. The next installment in the Shuffle! franchise: Really? Really! is headed internationally. The time continuum is safe this time, but Kaede’s memories aren’t! In this new game it’s up to you to piece Kaede’s memories back together.
