Planet Coaster 2 Spooktacular Pack Brings Walkthrough Attractions On 29 October

-

Planet Coaster 2 is receiving a spooky update just in time for Halloween with the Spooktacular Pack. The pack launches on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S on 29 October 2026 (SRP £14.99 / $18.99 / €18.99 or local equivalent). Free Update 12 also launches that same day.

The headline feature is Walkthrough Attractions, which Park Managers can now build for the first time in Planet Coaster 2. These guide guests through immersive experiences filled with animatronics, sound effects and scenery, and players have full control over how guests react throughout. While scare mazes and haunted houses are an obvious fit, the feature also works with themes from the base game and earlier DLC, not just as a Halloween-only inclusion. Attractions can be started from a blueprint on the Frontier Workshop or built from scratch using the game’s piece-by-piece tools.

The pack also adds seven new rides. Big M’s Rides: Spectre is a highly customisable modular launch coaster with powerful LSM multi-launches and open-seat designs, while Jerry St Lauer: Sledge glides over winding hills at night. Flat rides include Ballista, a non-inverting swinging gondola, Rumpus Room, a chamber that turns riders upside down, and Horror Heights, which sends guests screaming back down from on high. For something slower, Bosetti is a dark tracked ride designed for ghost stories, and The Huntsman takes guests around dark corners.

More than 700 new scenery pieces are included, featuring eerie animatronics, monstrous façades and supernatural effects. Audio has expanded with 29 ambient sounds, more than 90 sound effects, and 14 music tracks, and three new ghostly entertainers, Wigglebones, King Ghoster, and Queen Scream, are on hand to perform for guests.

Free Update 12, available to all players, introduces Reaction Points. Like vista points, these placeable objects can be linked to scenery, given a set radius, and customised to control how guests react as they pass through. The update also adds new Photo Stand-In Walls, 25 dirt and grime decals, and a range of bug fixes and improvements.
