Kitaria Fables 2 will be available on store shelves as well as digital storefronts. PQube and developers Secret Level Studios and Twin Hearts have confirmed physical editions of the action RPG for Nintendo Switch 2 and PlayStation 5, ahead of its launch in Spring 2027. The game will also be sold digitally on PC via Steam, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
The news comes with a new Overview Trailer that sets up the journey ahead for heroes Alice and Dusty. It covers their mission to explore the wilds of the Arkadera Peninsula and rebuild its defences, and introduces the friendly residents of Whitewall Town who help them along the way.
The Arkadera Peninsula lies across the Endless Ocean and once marked the western border of the Empire. As the Empire’s influence faded, its protective outposts were slowly overtaken by nature, leaving a small community to shelter behind the walls of Whitewall Town. Royal Army Pathfinder Alice Skylar and local guide Dusty Tuftkin join the Royal Academy Expedition Team there, aiming to reopen the town’s fabled errand house, explore the peninsula and restore its abandoned outposts. The further north the expedition travels, the more rumours spread of a mysterious figure hidden in the wilderness.
Exploration takes players through deep forests, boggy marshes, rugged highlands and snow-capped mountains, repairing outposts as they go. Alice and Dusty each have their own playstyle, skill tree and story, and skill points can be spent on special attacks, elemental spells and ultimate abilities. Materials gathered in the wild can be brought back to Whitewall Town’s artisans to craft and upgrade equipment, blend potions and cook food. Side quests and remote settlements offer rare rewards, while Aunt Kiki’s rundown farmstead can be restored with rare seeds and crops, then expanded to turn a profit. The full game supports local and online co-op, allowing two players to take on the whole story with both heroes at once.
Those wanting an early taste can try the Kitaria Fables 2 demo, available now on Steam. It covers the beginning of the adventure, including exploring Whitewall Town, taking on quests, making potions, forging equipment and farming, before heading into the wilds to face a range of enemies and mini-bosses. The demo can be played solo or with drop-in, drop-out local co-op for two players.
