In addition to using Gamescom 2026 to unveil a brand new project with an aesthetic quite unlike any game they have offered before, HoYoverse used its slot during Opening Night Live to lock in a launch window for Petit Planet, confirming the game will arrive globally this winter (or summer for us southern hemisphere folk) across PC, iOS and Android with cross-platform support between them. Pre-registration has opened on all three platforms.
The title marks the studio’s first attempt at a cozy galactic life simulation, a departure from the action-oriented catalogue. Players occupy the role of a Planet Tender, tasked with looking after a planet of their own. Day to day activity revolves around gathering resources, crafting furniture by hand and gradually reshaping the land into a personalised home among the stars.
Populating that world is a cast of fuzzy Neighbors, supported by an interaction system that sees them fold into the player’s routine over time. Activities on offer include picking fruit, heading out on adventures, building homes and simply spending unhurried days together.
For those inclined to look further afield, the Starsea provides the game’s exploration layer. Sailing out into it leads to Islets scattered across its expanse, each holding resources, hidden encounters and varied landscapes and ecosystems. The Galactic Bazaar handles the social side, serving as a gathering point where players from around the world can meet and form connections through a range of activities.
