TinyToad and publisher TARK are preparing a substantial update for the free Steam demo of KORRIDOR, with the new version set to arrive on 24 August 2026. The update will introduce improved visuals, balance adjustments and other changes ahead of the full game’s targeted release during the fourth quarter of 2026.
KORRIDOR takes inspiration from the gates shooter format often seen in mobile game advertisements, building the concept into a roguelike experience set within torch lit catacombs. Players remain in constant motion while fighting waves of demons and regularly choosing upgrades, with a new upgrade appearing roughly every 15 seconds during a run. The game uses two core gameplay inputs, while its progression systems provide additional depth through more than 30 runes and over 100 shop items. These can be combined into dozens of different builds, including combinations capable of becoming particularly powerful over the course of a run.
Six different boss encounters are also included, accompanied by a custom electro metal soundtrack that changes alongside the action. Between levels, players can visit atmospheric shops featuring real world historical figures and trivia, giving them an opportunity to purchase items before returning to combat. Exploration also plays a role, with treasure and secret interactions hidden throughout the catacombs. Progress contributes towards filling out a Medieval picture book as players venture further into the game.
For those looking to continue beyond the standard levels, KORRIDOR also features an accelerating endless mode. Players can continue developing their build as the game reaches increasingly high speeds, with leaderboard rankings providing an additional competitive objective.
