Bringing the 2013 instalment of the Assassin’s Creed franchise to both new and returning audiences, Ubisoft has announced that Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced is now available across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
With development led by Ubisoft Singapore, Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced is a full remake of Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag. The game has been rebuilt from the ground up using the latest Anvil engine, with updated visuals and expanded gameplay systems across combat, stealth, parkour and naval exploration.
Set during the Golden Age of Piracy, the game follows Edward Kenway, a pirate captain who becomes involved in the ongoing conflict between the Assassins and the Templars. His journey across the Caribbean will see him encounter historical figures including Blackbeard, Anne Bonny and Calico Jack, as the future of the pirates’ world comes under threat.
The remake also expands the game’s music, combining Brian Tyler’s original compositions, including the Black Flag Main Theme, with 22 new tracks from Stephen Lukach.
Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced is available in several editions. The standard edition is priced at $99.95 AUD across all platforms, while the digital only Deluxe Edition is priced at $104.95 AUD and includes the base game, the Master Assassin Character Pack and the Master Assassin Naval Pack. A Collector’s Edition is also available, including the contents of the Deluxe Edition alongside physical items such as an Edward figurine, Edward wearable metal brooch, SteelBook, cloth map and additional collector’s items.
