Wise Monkey Entertainment has confirmed that its upcoming comedy detective title, No Stone Unturned, will be available for PC players via Steam Early Access starting on 29 April 2026. This indie project proposes a humorous take on the murder mystery genre, featuring an unusual protagonist and a variety of interactive gameplay elements.
The narrative follows Detective Cox, an amnesiac squirrel gumshoe who finds himself in the small town of Orchard-Under-Hill. His primary objective is to investigate the suspicious circumstances surrounding a chicken discovered on the side of the road. To solve the case, players must navigate the town and interact with its local residents while utilising a specific set of tools, including a tape recorder, a magnifying glass, and a crowbar.
The gameplay experience is developed around a series of fast-paced, small-scale minigames that accompany the core investigative work. Players are required to collect evidence and interview various characters to piece together the truth behind the mystery. At the time of its Early Access debut, the game will feature its first case, titled Cat Got Your Tongue. Four additional cases are currently planned, which are scheduled to be released as free updates throughout the Early Access period.
To promote the title, Wise Monkey Entertainment collaborated with the iconic Jim Henson’s Creature Shop to produce a physical puppet of the lead character. This version of Detective Cox has appeared at various industry events, such as PAX and MCM, and features the voice of actor David Carter.
No Stone Unturned will be priced at $11.99 USD when it arrives on Steam later this month.
