Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection Launches Across Consoles And PC

Capcom has released the Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection, bringing the RPG series which originally debuted in 2006 to modern hardware. The collection is available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam.

The bundle includes seven individual games from across the three main entries of the franchise. Players have access to the original trio of Mega Man Star Force: Pegasus, Leo, and Dragon; the second entry’s dual versions: Zerker x Ninja and Zerker x Saurian; and the final chapters: Mega Man Star Force 3 Black Ace and Red Joker.

The narrative follows Geo Stelar, a boy who gains the ability to transform into Mega Man after merging with an extraterrestrial being known as Omega-Xis. Gameplay is split between exploring the physical world and the digital Wave World. Combat takes place on a 3×5 grid, utilizing a tactical system that combines real-time positioning with card-based attacks and deck-building mechanics.

Several technical enhancements have been implemented for this release. A visual toggle allows players to switch between the original graphics and high-resolution versions. Accessibility options have also been added, including the ability to adjust enemy encounter rates or increase the power of the Mega Buster. The collection features a gallery with over 1,000 pieces of concept and official art, as well as a music player containing original background music and new arrangements.

The online components have been updated to include ranked and casual matches alongside global card trading. The series’ Brother Band system now allows players to maintain a list of up to 100 people, with six active “brothers” providing boosts to Mega Man’s stats. Connectivity features that were originally dependent on the dual-slot functionality of the Nintendo DS have been recreated, ensuring that special legacy events are fully accessible in this version.
