Koei Tecmo and developer Gust have revealed a new compilation title, Blue Reflection Quartet, which brings together four entries from the magical girl RPG franchise from years back. This digital-exclusive bundle is scheduled to launch on 30 July 2026 for the PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam.
The collection includes the original 2017 Blue Reflection and its 2021 sequel, Blue Reflection: Second Light. Alongside these console titles, the package features adaptations of the anime series Blue Reflection Ray and the previously mobile-exclusive Blue Reflection Sun.
This version of Blue Reflection Ray has been re-edited from its original 2021 broadcast format to include 3D models of the main characters, allowing players to explore the world of the “Common” alongside protagonists Hiori and Ruka. Meanwhile, Blue Reflection Sun, which was originally available as a mixed-media mobile and PC project between February 2023 and May 2024, has been reworked for its console debut. This adaptation enables players to interact with students on campus and utilizes the combat mechanics from Blue Reflection: Second Light for its battle sequences.
Updates have also been made to Blue Reflection: Second Light within this specific collection. Eight additional characters originating from the Ray and Sun entries will now be available as playable party members.
The original 2017 game remains a central part of the set, featuring character designs by illustrator Mel Kishida and a narrative penned by authors Keiichi Sigsawa, Yusaku Igarashi, and Koji Natsumi. To assist players in navigating the series’ lore, the Quartet release includes a comprehensive reference database. This feature provides access to chronological flowcharts, character relationship maps, and series correlation charts.
