Sony Interactive Entertainment, Marvel, and developer Insomniac have announced that Marvel’s Wolverine will launch on the PlayStation 5 on Tuesday 15 September 2026. This release date arrives just over five years after the title was first revealed to the public in September 2021.
Actor Liam McIntyre is set to provide the performance for the titular character of Logan. The narrative follows the reluctant protagonist as he attempts to uncover the hidden secrets of his past. To progress, Logan must utilize his mutant abilities, including a rapid healing factor and adamantium claws, to gather information and fight through opposing forces.
The game features an original interpretation of the comic book property. Combat focuses on fast and fluid mechanics, allowing players to build momentum through a berserker rage state. The action is pitched as highly destructive, with techniques designed to dismember or break enemies. Aligned with the character of Wolverine, this is also set to be a much darker game than Insomniac’s past superhero adaptations, such as Marvel’s Super-Man.
