The game aims to blend gentle, low pressure activities with exploration and light adventure elements – with hopes of appealing to both players of “cozy” games and long-time Sanrio fans.
On Nintendo Switch 2, the game is available in several editions to suit both returning and new players. For one, those who already own Hello Kitty Island Adventure on the original Nintendo Switch can purchase the Nintendo Switch 2 Upgrade Edition for $9.99 USD or local equivalent. Newcomers can opt for the Nintendo Switch 2 Standard Edition, priced at $39.99 USD or local equivalent.
For players looking for a more content rich start, the Deluxe Upgrade is available for $19.99. This add on includes more than 300 items and rewards, such as Deluxe Starter and Crafting Bundles to speed up early progression, along with a year of legacy clothing, furniture and cosmetics drawn from past seasonal events.
A new paid expansion, Wheatflour Wonderland DLC, is also available for $14.99. Pitched as the largest new world added since launch, this whimsical area introduces fresh cooking and crafting opportunities, new magical friends and a variety of hidden secrets to uncover.
