Square Enix has confirmed that Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade will be expanding its reach to new platforms early next year. The expanded release of the first remake in a trilogy for Final Fantasy VII, is set to launch on the Nintendo Switch 2 and Xbox Series X|S from 22 January 2026.
The upcoming release will also introduce a “Streamlined Progression” mode designed to lower barriers for players who want to focus primarily on the game’s story – and the potential sacrifice of any gameplay experience or challenge. This option provides unlimited MP and HP, an always-filled Limit and ATB gauge, 9,999 damage output, simplified weapon ability acquisition, and other modifiers to make progression more accessible.

Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade follows Cloud Strife, a former SOLDIER operative turned mercenary, as he becomes entangled with Avalanche in their battle against Shinra in Midgar. This edition includes Episode Intermission, a side story featuring Yuffie Kisaragi as she infiltrates the city on a parallel mission.
