Capcom delivered several major announcements during the latest Nintendo Direct, confirming new releases across its flagship franchises.
Arguably the most significant was Resident Evil Requiem, set to arrive on 27 February 2026 for Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. That same day, Resident Evil 7 biohazard Gold Edition and Resident Evil Village Gold Edition will also debut on Nintendo Switch 2, providing players access to bundled expansions and additional content.
Resident Evil Requiem introduces a new protagonist, Grace Ashcroft, a young FBI analyst investigating the sinister Wrenwood Hotel. Set 30 years after the Raccoon City outbreak, the story follows her fight for survival while confronting the lingering trauma of her mother’s death.
The showcase also confirmed Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection will release on 13 March 2026 for Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. Taking place two centuries after a war that divided two kingdoms, the story begins when twin Rathalos hatch from the same egg, setting off a tale of conflict, discovery, and fate. The game retains the series’ turn based combat while expanding exploration, Monstie raising, and world design with enhanced 3D visuals.
Rounding out the announcements, Capcom revealed Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection, a compilation of all seven titles from the original action RPG trilogy. The collection includes Mega Man Star Force Pegasus, Leo, Dragon, 2 Zerker x Ninja, 2 Zerker x Saurian, 3 Black Ace, and 3 Red Joker. The series returns with its signature mix of real time combat and card based mechanics, updated with enhancements while preserving the original gameplay. The collection is slated to launch in 2026 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam.
