Square Enix has this week rolled out Patch 7.3: The Promise of Tomorrow for FINAL FANTASY XIV Online, delivering a broad suite of new playable content and updates. The latest patch advances the game’s main scenario, introduces the second chapter of the Echoes of Vana’diel alliance raid series with “San d’Oria: The Second Walk,” and unveils The Meso Terminal dungeon. Players can also test their skills in The Wreath of Snakes Unreal difficulty trial, challenging Seiryu at level 100 (One of my favourite trials from FFXIV: Stormblood), and discover new rewards in the Vault Oneiron treasure dungeon.
Patch 7.3 adds even more with the launch of the Bayside Battleground, a new Crystalline Conflict PvP map, alongside fresh ranked tiers, PvP Series 9, and various balance adjustments. Additional features include support for Duty Support in the Cutter’s Cry, the arrival of chat bubbles for enhanced communication, and miscellaneous quality-of-life updates, such as Phoenix Down improvements (well-overdue) and Group Pose enhancements.
Looking ahead across the next few months, Patch 7.31 will introduce the first expansion to the Cosmic Exploration content with a new planet, Phaenna, offering fresh challenges for gatherers and crafters, as well as new Phantom Weapon enhancement quests. Patch 7.35 will further expand the adventure with Pilgrim’s Traverse, a new Deep Dungeon, alongside new allied society quests with the Yok Huy and another installment of the Inconceivably Further Hildibrand Adventures.
