Video game publisher Devolver Digital has today confirmed that Quarantine Zone: The Last Check has officially joined their publishing line-up. Developed by Brigada Games, the apocalyptic admin simulator now boasts over one million Steam wishlists and a reported more than 1.8 million demo players.
Launching this November on Steam, Quarantine Zone: The Last Check casts players as a lone government agent manning a critical checkpoint in the midst of a zombie outbreak. It’s not just about waving people through gates – every interaction requires judgment, strategy, and the ability to make impossible calls. Survivors show up daily, and it’s your job to determine who’s healthy, who’s infected, and who might be lying to save their skin.
Beyond gatekeeping, you’re also charged with running the entire checkpoint outpost. That means managing dwindling resources like food and fuel, expanding lodging facilities, upgrading defenses, and organizing evacuation efforts. The deeper the crisis runs, the more strained your infrastructure becomes – and the more ethically murky your choices get.
