During the latest Letter from the Producer LIVE broadcast, Square Enix announced details for Patch 7.3 of Final Fantasy XIV Online, titled The Promise of Tomorrow. Set for release in early August 2025, the patch continues the Dawntrail expansion’s post-launch content rollout, introducing new story developments, gameplay features, and quality-of-life additions.
Producer and Director Naoki Yoshida hosted the presentation, providing the first breakdown of what players can expect when the patch series begins rolling out.
Headlining the update is the next set of Main Scenario Quests, progressing the narrative established in Dawntrail. Another key addition is the second part of the Echoes of Vana’diel alliance raid series, this time titled San d’Oria: The Second Walk. Other major inclusions are a new dungeon (The Meso Terminal), a new trial available in both Normal and Extreme modes, and a new Deep Dungeon called Pilgrim’s Traverse.
For players seeking more challenging content, the Unreal Trial series will feature The Wreath of Snakes (Unreal), pitting players against Seiryu at level 100.
Gatherers and crafters will receive the first major update to Cosmic Exploration, which introduces the planet Phaenna as a new destination. Additional updates to this mode are also planned throughout the 7.3x patch series.
Other features are:
- New Hildibrand questline entries
- Allied Society quests for the Yok Huy
- A new treasure dungeon, Vault Oneiron
- Duty Support expansion to include Cutter’s Cry
- PvP updates including Series 9, action adjustments, new ranks, and the Bayside Battleground arena for Crystalline Conflict
- Phantom Weapons enhancement quests for further gear progression
