Following the game’s 2024 releases on home video consoles, Idea Factory International has confirmed that Neptunia Game Maker R:Evolution is now set to arrive on PC via Steam later in 2025. This action RPG entry in the Neptunia series will bring its industry satire and gameplay systems to a new platform, with fans now able to wishlist the title on its Steam store page.
Set in the world of Gamindustri, Neptunia Game Maker R:Evolution centres around Older Neptune, now reimagined as the CEO of a struggling video game studio named Victory. With the Game Maker world in turmoil – driven by rival companies battling for market dominance – players must help this new studio reclaim its place in the industry.
Players take on the role of Older Nep, working to rebuild the Victory game studio by hiring developers, creating titles, and expanding the company’s reach. The game also features mechanics that allow players to develop discs that enhance character stats and recruit creators to design the next big hit.
Movement through dungeons is given a unique twist, with Older Nep travelling via a customisable purple motorcycle. These segments also incorporate races and challenges, allowing players to earn special rewards through timed events or combat.
Combat in Neptunia Game Maker R:Evolution is managed through a four-person party system, with a revamped battle system that includes chained attacks and special transformations. Players will face off against rival studios while managing their own team’s rise to the top of the industry.
