SEGA has shared a new edition of their NGS Headline WAVE broadcast, outlining upcoming campaigns, quests, and events for Phantasy Star Online 2 New Genesis Version 2. Players can look forward to a series of limited-time quests, rewards, and special activities beginning next month.
Starting 7 May 2025, the Limited-time Urgent Quest Omen of the Planetbreaker D.2 will return, allowing teams of eight players to challenge Malignant Dark Falz Solus. Rewards include the Legendios weapon series and C/Stra Scepter Augment Capsules, which can be used to create or directly obtain the Augment C/Majis Dread Keeper II. Limited-time Tasks and Title Tasks linked to the quest will also be available.
Also on 7 May 2025, the new quest Drill: Dual Route Capture Battle will launch. Dividing teams into two groups on different paths, the quest emphasises cooperation to achieve success. Completing event-related tasks will offer Titles, N-Augment Transfer Pass Vouchers, and Super Origin rewards. A related event will introduce special Reward Boxes containing 50% more items, including Star Gems and Beta Reactors, with exclusive cosmetic rewards for those who clear them.
New limited-time quests, Dustyl Vera Suppression Op V.3 and The Writhing Malice, Confined, will commence from 13 May, alternating daily. These quests introduce new enemy lineups and challenge players to defeat waves of enemies within a time limit. Completion of associated tasks will yield additional rewards, including Scratch Tickets and enhancement materials. The Seasonal Points Exchange Shop will also be updated with new accessories and expanded exchange options.
Part 2 of Halpha’s Super Origin Festival will begin on 14 May to mark the fourth anniversary of Phantasy Star Online 2 New Genesis. Running until 3 June, players can expect weekly campaigns, free SG Scratch Ticket draws, boosts, and an expanded Super SG Item Recycle system. A login bonus will grant players ten Super Origin Festival ’25 SP Scratch Tickets each week during the event.
