Kate Ceberano has announced additional dates for her upcoming Australian Made Tour of 2025, responding to strong demand after the initial run of 22 regional shows sold out, with several Victorian performances exceeding expectations.
Four major city venues have now been added to the tour schedule: Hamer Hall, Arts Centre Melbourne in Melbourne on 19 September, Fortitude Music Hall in Brisbane on 20 September, Thebarton Theatre in Adelaide on 11 October, and a Sydney show on 14 September at a venue to be announced shortly. Tickets for all dates are available right now via the tour’s official website.
Reflecting on the response to her tour so far, Ceberano shared:
The response to this tour has blown us away. It looks like I wasn’t the only one to think the time is right for a retrospective of my 40 years in Australian music — not only as a writer and a performer but as a massive fan. I’ll be singing songs I’ve had the privilege to be a part of and paying homage to some of the greats I’ve known and admired. Expect a ton of Australian classics and handpicked surprises. I can’t wait to hit the road and share my music and memories about them all.
Following strong calls from Adelaide fans, Ceberano additionally expressed her enthusiasm for adding the city’s newly refurbished Thebarton Theatre to the tour:
I love Adelaide, my family has a long history with SA and I have some great mates who live there, so it was a show I was determined to make happen. I’m also stoked to add Brisbane to the line-up as well as a hometown Melbourne show at the beautiful Hamer Hall.
Marking the start of her fifth decade as a performer, the Australian Made Tour will see Ceberano blending songs from her own platinum-certified catalogue with a selection of Australian anthems that have helped shape her musical journey.
Audiences can expect reinterpretations of tracks from artists and bands including I’m Talking, Divinyls, Models, INXS, Mental As Anything, Jimmy Barnes, Sia, Icehouse, Silverchair, John Farnham, Australian Crawl, Bernard Fanning, Jimmy Little, The Church, Renee Geyer, and Paul Kelly, among others.
The tour’s name harks back to Ceberano’s early breakthrough in the original Australian Made tour of 1986–87, where she shared stages with INXS, Jimmy Barnes, Models, Mental As Anything, and Divinyls. Almost 40 years later, she revisits the concept with a new perspective, promising a show rich with storytelling and the vibrant energy that defined the era.
Joining Ceberano across the 25 tour stops are two musicians: Harts, a multi-instrumentalist known for his collaboration with Prince and his genre-blending solo work, and Kathleen Halloran, an emerging rock guitarist and singer, bringing her distinctive sound to her first national tour. Together, the trio seek to present a sweeping tribute to the evolving landscape of Australian music.
