VOID Interactive has confirmed that its tactical first-person shooter Ready or Not will be released on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, in addition to new PC storefronts including the Epic Games Store, and Microsoft Store later this year. The announcement was made during the debut Galaxies Showcase, alongside the release of a new cinematic trailer.
The game puts players in the role of an elite SWAT officer responding to high-risk situations in the crime-ridden city of Los Sueños. The console release will include the same focus on tactical, cooperative gameplay, where players must manage operations such as bomb threats, hostage rescues, and confrontations with armed suspects.
Timed with the console launch, VOID Interactive will also introduce Stories from Los Sueños, a free downloadable content pack that adds two new missions playable in both single-player and online cooperative modes. PC players will receive these missions as a free update on the same day as the console launch.
At release, the console versions of Ready or Not will offer:
- 20 missions playable solo or cooperatively with up to five players
- Two additional missions included in the Stories from Los Sueños DLC
- Two previously released DLC packs, adding six extra levels, including missions supported by the UH-60 helicopter in the Dark Waters DLC
- A range of customisation options for the player’s SWAT team, covering armour, weaponry, clothing, and equipment
- Tactical gameplay with authentic SWAT gear and varied strategies for mission execution
Players who pre-order the console version will also receive access to three bonus weapons: the M32A1 grenade launcher, MK-V pistol, and 590M shotgun. These items will also be made available at no extra cost to existing PC players.
