Rise of Rebellion, a 3D action RPG developed by solo creator Hytacka and published by Kodansha Game Creators’ Lab, is now available on PC via Steam. To mark its release, the game is available at a 20% discount until Sunday 27 April 2025.
Set in the town of Tella – now under the control of hostile invaders – the game places players in the role of a Tel warrior, fighters who harness Earth-based magic and skilled swordsmanship. As one of the last defenders of their homeland, players must repel the mercenaries and reclaim the island.
Combat in Rise of Rebellion aims to strike a balance between timing and technique, with players able to execute light-heavy combo chains and enhance their attacks using special Arts that deal damage or recover health. The system also encourages tactical decision-making through movement-based mixups, precision parries, stamina management, and the powerful Wrath of Earth finisher—triggered when enemies are low on stamina.
Throughout the game, players will encounter a wide range of foes, including spear fighters, heavy axe brutes, and massive trolls, with each boss introducing new challenges. Victories earn experience to unlock new abilities via a skill tree, while exploration offers additional lore through journals and relics scattered across the island.

Our community provided so much helpful feedback when the demo launched, and we have taken their input into the 1.0 build we’re sharing today.
