Shadowverse: Worlds Beyond Launches Worldwide on 17 June 2025, Preregistration Now Open

Cygames has announced that Shadowverse: Worlds Beyond, the latest entry in the Shadowverse franchise, will be launching globally on 17 June 2025. Preregistration is now open across multiple platforms, including the App Store, Google Play, Steam, and the Epic Games Store. As part of a preregistration campaign, players will receive in-game rewards based on the total number of preregistrations. If at least 300,000 players sign up before launch, all participants will receive 20 card packs’ worth of rupies and card pack tickets.

The game introduces several new mechanics, including “Super-Evolution,” which allows players to enhance followers with additional attack and defense bonuses, invulnerability during their turn, and a new “blow away” effect that damages enemy leaders. Additionally, a “Bonus Play Point” system gives the player going second an extra temporary play point twice per match, balancing competitive gameplay. The evolution system has also been updated, standardizing attack and defense boosts for evolved and super-evolved followers.

The Shadowverse Park feature, which replaces previous minigames, will serve as a social hub where players can battle in lobbies, form guilds, and participate in tournaments and events. Players can also customize their avatars with in-game character visages.

A new AI Tips feature, guided by the character Eudie, will help players grasp core gameplay mechanics. Additionally, changes to the card liquefaction system aim to encourage experimentation across different classes, limiting the number of cards that can be dismantled while introducing various systems to make obtaining new cards easier. These include daily free card packs, missions rewarding up to 10 packs per set release, a guaranteed Legendary card for every 10 packs purchased, and prebuilt deck rewards for completing beginner missions.

Following its release, Shadowverse: Worlds Beyond will receive new card sets every one to one-and-a-half months until August 2025, after which releases will shift to a bi-monthly schedule. Additional standalone card releases will no longer be implemented.

In addition, the game’s first card set will be integrated into the physical Shadowverse: Evolve trading card game. The Japanese edition of the booster set will launch on 11 July 2025, introducing the new super-evolution mechanic. New starter decks and a special starter set will be released on 27 June 2025, including bonus in-game items for Worlds Beyond. While contents will differ slightly, the English edition of Shadowverse: Evolve will also receive new products with purchase bonuses.
