Capcom has announced that Resident Evil 3 is now available on Apple devices, joining the lineup of modern Resident Evil titles playable on iPhone 16 models, iPhone 15 Pro models, and iPads and Macs equipped with the M1 chip or later. This remake of the 1999 classic is now accessible through the App Store alongside Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 4, Resident Evil 7 biohazard, and Resident Evil Village.
Resident Evil 3 follows S.T.A.R.S. officer Jill Valentine as she fights to escape Raccoon City amid a viral outbreak, pursued by the relentless Bio Organic Weapon, Nemesis. Powered by Capcom’s RE ENGINE, the game offers an updated visual experience and action-driven gameplay that aims to bring a new intensity to the survival horror classic.
Apple users can download a portion of Resident Evil 3 for free before purchasing the full game, with cross-progression support allowing save data to be transferred between iPhone, iPad, and Mac. The mobile version includes customizable touch controls, and a new Auto Fire feature that automatically shoots enemies after aiming for a short duration. The game also supports a range of external controllers for those preferring a traditional console experience.
To mark the release, Resident Evil 3 is available at a discounted price for a limited time. Additionally, Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 4, Resident Evil 7 biohazard, and Resident Evil Village are also on sale via the App Store, with discounts of up to 75% off.
