Developer Peposoft and publisher Phoenixx Inc. have announced that FUBUKI ~zero in on Holoearth~, a pixelated action platformer set in an alternate Hololive-inspired universe, will be available on PC via Steam from Sunday, 12 April 2025, with English, Japanese, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese language support. A demo version of the game is available now.
The game follows Shirakami Fubuki, who steps away from livestreaming to investigate mysterious portals appearing across Holoearth. Armed with a magical sword, players will traverse diverse environments, including city streets in Yamato, Egyptian-themed casinos, carnival grounds, and haunted temples.
Combat aims to deliver players fast-paced action with players slicing through waves of enemies possessed by evil spirits. Bosses, once defeated, can be freed from corruption and join Fubuki as assist characters, adding new abilities to her arsenal. Along the way, players can collect subweapons like a one-shot pistol and items such as mini-rocket foxes that launch in various directions. Fan-inspired summonable allies, including Fubuki’s fox-like companion Sukonbu, provide additional support. Shops like Mizore’s kitchen shall also offer consumables and special upgrades.
Developer Peposoft reflected on the game’s reception, stating:
The feedback we received during Steam Next Fest was very positive. Fans of the series will have a blast catching all of the Hololive references, and retro gaming fans will enjoy the fluid gameplay mixed with old-school charm.
