Developer Brightrock Games and publisher CULT Games have announced Galacticare: The Voice Beyond, the first major expansion for their sci-fi hospital management simulator Galacticare. The DLC is set to launch on 2 April 2025 for PC (via Steam and GOG), Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5.
The expansion introduces a fully voiced three-level campaign in which players must confront a growing galactic crisis. A mysterious and destructive force known as the CABAL threatens all life in the universe, and it falls to players—once again stepping into the role of hospital director—to treat the wounded, uncover conspiracies, and fend off sabotage, all while keeping the chaos of daily hospital life in check.
Among the new challenges are saboteurs, disguised as seemingly harmless figures who infiltrate the hospital to plant toilet bombs and tamper with treatment facilities. To counter them, players will gain access to Security Craftech, tasked with rooting out and neutralising threats before they cause serious damage. Players can also expect a range of new fictional ailments, including Rave Rash, Voxelitis, Fester Fungus, and Zynger Sting, adding to the already varied catalogue of galactic conditions requiring treatment.
In addition to managing injuries from interstellar conflict and treating alien warriors, the campaign escalates to include encounters with cosmic beings—suggesting a blend of dark humour, strategy, and science fiction drama that fans of the base game have come to appreciate.
