FuturLab, the UK-based game studio, has announced PowerWash Simulator 2, the sequel to its popular pressure-washing simulation game. The new title is set to launch in late 2025 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
PowerWash Simulator 2 will introduce a new campaign featuring different locales, enhanced visuals, improved equipment, and additional gameplay features. Players can take on cleaning tasks solo or with friends in online multiplayer, with split-screen co-op available for the first time in the series.
The game will introduce new locations beyond the familiar setting of Muckingham, including areas such as Sponge Valley, Power Falls, and Lubri City. Additionally, players will have access to a home base where they can customise their surroundings with furniture and collectibles gathered throughout the game. Other new features include enhanced soap mechanics that improve cleaning efficiency and the introduction of both online progression sharing and split-screen co-op, allowing friends to clean together on a single screen.
Dan Chequer, Design Director at FuturLab, described the sequel as a natural progression, stating:
The original game’s design was all about eliminating anything that detracted from the pure satisfaction of taking something dirty and making it clean. PowerWash Simulator 2 is all about adding in even more avenues for players to achieve that same sense of satisfaction, with new tools, features and quality of life improvements. We’re really excited to see players dust off their power washers and get stuck into this brand-new campaign, that brings you even more to clean, and even more ways to release the pressure.
Chris Mehers, COO of FuturLab, further highlighted the significance of the sequel for the studio, saying:
We couldn’t be more thrilled to finally announce the sequel to one of our most successful titles. With over 17 million players worldwide, PowerWash Simulator has allowed us to self-publish a sequel, an exciting challenge we are delighted to undertake. We look forward to bringing players the next step-up in the PowerWash Simulator series.
FuturLab has promised further updates on the game’s development next month.
