Digital Eclipse, in collaboration with, and under license from Hasbro, has announced a physical deluxe edition of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Rita’s Rewind for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5. This edition will include a special retail box and cover, a steelbook case, a poster, a 3D lenticular postcard, and a set of pixel art collectible Power Ranger cards. The game will be available from 30 May, with pre-orders now open at participating retailers.
Pitched as a tribute to both 90s arcade gaming and the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers franchise, Rita’s Rewind features handcrafted pixel art, a guitar-driven soundtrack, and side-scrolling beat ‘em up gameplay filled with nods to the original TV series and films. Players will engage in high-energy battles against Robo Rita’s army, including classic villains such as General Goldar and Putty Patrollers. The game incorporates both side-scrolling combat and 3D sequences, including multiplayer Megazord battles.
Supporting up to six players in local and online co-op on most platforms—except PlayStation, which allows up to four—Rita’s Rewind has received positive feedback from both critics and players since its digital release in December 2024. Digital Eclipse has confirmed that additional gameplay and online enhancements are in development, with more details to be shared soon.
