Publisher Nippon Ichi Software America has confirmed that both a Story Demo and Battle demo for their upcoming RPG release of The Legend of Heroes: Trails through Daybreak II are now available to download on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
In the Story Demo, players can explore new areas of Edith and uncover fresh mysteries at the beginning of the game. Any progress made can be transferred to the full release, ensuring a smooth transition for those who decide to continue their journey. Meanwhile, the Battle Demo lets players challenge the virtual dungeon Märchen Garten with two separate teams, showcasing the new EX Chain and Cross Charge battle mechanics introduced in this sequel.
Set after the events involving the mafia organisation Almata, The Legend of Heroes: Trails through Daybreak II sees Calvard returning to a peaceful state until a series of grisly murders sparks a new wave of intrigue. Multiple factions across the country mobilise, driven by their own motivations, while spriggan Van Arkride sets out on a new investigation to discover who is behind the murders and their ultimate goals.
The Legend of Heroes: Trails through Daybreak II is scheduled for release on 14 February 2025. It will be available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC. Developed by Nihon Falcom and published by NIS America, this RPG will be available in English and Japanese audio, with English text.
