Capcom’s Monster Hunter franchise has returned to GungHo Online Entertainment’s Match-3 RPG mobile game Puzzle & Dragons through a new event, running until 17 November 2024. In this event, Puzzle & Dragons players have an opportunity to obtain iconic Monster Hunter characters and items through themed dungeons, login rewards, special bundles, and the Monster Hunter Egg Machine.
Login Rewards and Egg Machines
Throughout the collaboration, players can earn rewards by logging in, including four pulls from the Monster Hunter Egg Machine and six from the Poka Poka Felyne Village DX Egg Machine, totaling ten free draws over a ten-day period. Players who log in daily will also receive a Female Hunter character as a bonus.
Themed Dungeons and Quests
The event offers a range of Monster Hunter dungeons with two difficulty levels: Novice and Expert. Clearing these dungeons allows players to collect materials needed to evolve the Male Hunter and Female Hunter characters, as well as earn rewards like Silver Rathalos & Gold Rathian.
Some of the featured dungeons include:
- Monster Hunter Quest: Players can earn up to ten Magic Stones by completing ten Quest Levels, with additional rewards for P&D Pass holders.
- Stygian Zinogre Descended!: This special dungeon guarantees a Stygian Zinogre drop. Players can gather items to exchange for the Brimstren Drakeclaw.
- Monster Hunter Support Surveys: With a chance to encounter Bazelgeuse, this dungeon offers exclusive drops and material exchange options. Completing quests here grants players a Rainbow Event Medal.
- Magnamalo Descended!: This dungeon rewards players with a guaranteed Magnamalo drop after defeating the boss, alongside additional rewards for dungeon completion.
For solo players, the Hunter King Title Challenge is a timed event offering the [Hunter King] title as a reward upon completion. Restrictions apply in this challenge, including character and time limitations.
Multiplayer Options
Multiplayer dungeons like the Multiplayer! Monster Hunter Support Surveys and Multiplayer! Magnamalo Descended allow players to team up for rewards, with some invasions and quests exclusive to single-player mode.
Collaboration Bundles and In-Game Purchases
Several bundles are available for players interested in adding specific Monster Hunter characters and items to their collection:
- 30 Magic Stones & Silver Rathalos & Gold Rathian Egg Machine: Includes a guaranteed pull from the Egg Machine and 300,000 Monster Points.
- 30 Magic Stones & Thunder Serpent Narwa & Wind Serpent Ibushi Egg Machine: Provides the Monster Hunter Collab BGM Set and guarantees a pull from the Narwa & Ibushi Egg Machine.
- 2 Magic Stones & Monster Hunter Egg Machine: An affordable bundle with a single pull from the Egg Machine.
MP Shop and Monster Exchange
During the event, select Monster Hunter characters and items, including Male Hunter, Female Hunter, and Felyne variants, will be available for purchase in the MP Shop. Players can also exchange collected materials for exclusive items, such as the Bazel Typhoon II and Brimstren Drakeclaw, through the Monster Exchange system.
