The latest instalment in GIANTS Software’s long-running series, Farming Simulator 25, is only a few weeks out from launching for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. With the game’s 12 November release drawing closer, the developer has shared a new ‘Feature Trailer’, providing a summary of everything they hope players will avail themselves of whilst playing. This includes some of the 25 crops (plus greenhouse crops and trees), including two types of rice, spinach, peas, and beans, with over 400 authentic machines by 150 renowned international brand
Players can also expand their farming experience beyond the fields, with new production chains enabling the creation of goods such as mozzarella and goat cheese. For those interested in community projects, Farming Simulator 25 offers a range of new construction options. Farmhouses and barns serve as a starting point, but more ambitious players can supply materials to help local builders with larger projects. These include assisting a builder of historic horse-drawn carriages and a playground creator, as well as working on grander community landmarks, such as an Asian temple or renovating a historic grain elevator.
In addition to new crops and construction opportunities, farmers must also contend with natural weather events like twisters and hail, which can affect both crops and bales left out in the open. These unpredictable events add an extra layer of challenge to the gameplay, prompting players to strategise and protect their resources.
A group of voiced NPCs is also introduced, offering guidance and assistance. Grandpa Walter and his assistant act as mentors, providing helpful advice, while neighbour David shares his experiences as a city dweller adjusting to rural life. Players will also encounter an animal farmer who shares her expertise on livestock, and a lumberjack who focuses on wood carving projects.
