Potionomics: Masterwork Edition Adds “Boss Finn” Content and More

Marvelous Europe has revealed the final addition to the upcoming Potionomics: Masterwork Edition, set to release on 22 October 2024 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. One of these new additions is the introduction of a dedicated romance path for Boss Finn, a wealthy potion dealer and rival to the game’s protagonist, Sylvia. This new storyline, features unique scenes, will also unlock new cards for Sylvia to use when haggling with her potion shop customers.

In addition to his new role as a romantic interest, Boss Finn takes on a side job as Rafta’s latest “life coach,” offering Sylvia paid pep talks that provide timed buffs and debuffs, adding another layer to the game’s potion-selling mechanics. Boss Finn will be included in the Masterwork Edition for consoles, while PC players can purchase the DLC separately for $4.99 or local equivalent.

This content is in addition to other new additions to the Potionomics: Masterwork Edition release, including:

Voice Acting: Sylvia’s journey comes to life with new voice acting for key characters like Owl, Roxanne, Quinn, and Mint.

New Text Languages: Support for German, Japanese, Korean, and both Simplified and Traditional Chinese has been added.

New Gameplay Modes: The Masterwork Edition introduces several modes, including “Endless” mode for continuous potion-selling, “Capitalism” mode for those seeking a challenge, and “Cozy” mode for a more laid-back experience.

Romance Options: Players can opt for the new “One Love/Free Love” system, allowing Sylvia to romance as many or as few suitors as they choose.

Enhanced Negotiation Mechanics: With the new cards and strategies tied to building relationships, Sylvia’s haggling skills can reach new heights, helping her deal with Rafta’s tough customers.

Potion Crafting: Master potion-making by choosing the best ingredients to satisfy picky customers or risk brewing less desirable results.

The Masterwork Edition content will be available on consoles from 22 October 2024, while PC players will receive a free update alongside the paid Boss Finn DLC.
