MoneyGram Haas F1 Team Partners with Metaphor: ReFantazio Ahead of Singapore Grand Prix

A collaboration that I wouldn’t have ever guessed happening, MoneyGram Haas F1 Team has announced a special one-race partnership with ATLUS around their upcoming RPG Metaphor: ReFantazio ahead of the Singapore Grand Prix tomorrow.

For this collaboration, Nico Hülkenberg’s car will display a logo featuring the in-game character Hulkenberg, while Kevin Magnussen’s car will showcase the Protagonist from the game. According to them, the partnership reflects the shared themes of high stakes, perseverance, and competition in both Formula 1 and the fantasy RPG.

Irvin Ducournau, Director of Marketing at ATLUS, shared his excitement on this collaboration:

Overcoming fear and anxiety is a central theme in Metaphor: ReFantazio, and being featured on the racecars of Nico Hülkenberg and Kevin Magnussen—drivers known for defying the impossible—perfectly mirrors our game, where players beat the odds in their chase for the crown in the Royal Tournament.

Partnering with MoneyGram Haas F1 Team ahead of the Singapore GP is a natural fit, as the high-stakes nature of Formula 1 aligns seamlessly with the competitive election mechanic in the game, where players gain followers in their own race for victory.” “We’re incredibly grateful to MoneyGram Haas F1 Team for this collaboration and wish Nico and Kevin the best of luck in the upcoming race in Singapore.

Mark Morrell, Director of Marketing at MoneyGram Haas F1 Team, also commented on the partnership:

We’re delighted to be joining forces with the team at ATLUS to promote the release of Metaphor: ReFantazio during the Singapore race this week. This hotly anticipated game is visually spectacular and filled with all the speed, suspense, and excitement you would expect from a Grand Prix weekend. It’s our first partnership of this kind and we’re looking forward to sharing the exhilarating world of Metaphor: ReFantazio with racing fans.

Metaphor: ReFantazio is set to release on 11 October 2024 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC, and features a creative team who were involved with the modern generation of Persona games.
