Bethesda has released the latest update for Fallout 76, titled Milepost Zero, available for free across all platforms. This update introduces new gameplay features, including Legendary Crafting and the Best Builds C.A.M.P. system, alongside improvements to combat mechanics.
Milepost Zero’s Legendary Crafting allows players to customise their weapons and armour by selecting specific mods for their Legendary items. Mods can be obtained by trading with other players or by scrapping existing Legendary items. The update also introduces Best Builds, a new feature allowing players to submit, visit, and rate C.A.M.P. designs in a more community-driven social system.
Later this month, players will be able to dive into a new questline, A Bump in the Road. This mission tasks players with starting a caravan delivery service, escorting brahmin caravans through the Shenandoah region while defending against raiders and creatures. Players will also be able to recruit a crew and build up their own outposts, unlocking rewards along the way.
In addition to these major features, Milepost Zero includes a series of bug fixes and combat improvements, along with rebalancing updates for various creatures in the game.
Season 18, titled Country Road, also launches alongside this update. Players can unlock themed rewards such as Blue Ridge Power Armour and Weapon Paints, along with new C.A.M.P. items.
Fallout 76 is now available on Steam, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4. It is also available at no additional cost for Xbox Game Pass and PlayStation Plus Extra subscribers.
