Following their recent release of urban fantasy ARPG Zenless Zone Zero, HoYoverse has this evening confirmed that Version 1.1, titled “Undercover R&B,” is set to arrive on August 14. This update will introduce new challenges for New Eridu Public Security (N.E.P.S.) and delve into the complex story involving Qingyi, Jane, Seth, and the Mountain Lion Gang.
Confirmed features and inclusions of this update include:
New Story Content and Characters: A new narrative where Zhu Yuan, Qingyi, and Seth engage in a battle of wits and courage against the Mountain Lion Gang, who manage to evade arrest with the help of the enigmatic Jane. Players will explore New Eridu, complete commissions as Jane, and uncover her intricate past with N.E.P.S.
New Gameplay – “Inferno Reap”: Players can jump into battle with Nineveh in this new Hollow Zero gameplay experience. Successful completion of the “Withering Garden” stage and related commissions, Proxies can enter a time-limited battle with Nineveh. The challenge can be attempted as many times as possible. Successful challenges grant a wide range of in-game rewards.
New Characters and Bangboo:
Qingyi: As an S-Rank Electric Stun character who can fit in a variety of different squads, Qingyi is skilled at inflicting Daze quickly to stun enemies. While Qingyi’s attack causes electric damage, she can build up “Flash Connect Voltage,” triggering a powerful attack once it reaches a certain level. Being Zhu Yuan’s trustworthy partner at N.E.P.S., Qingyi can also offer significant support to Zhu Yuan in combat.
Jane: An S-Rank Physical Anomaly Agent, Jane can trigger “Passion State” by building up Passion Stream, unleashing rapid, multi-stage, and deadly attacks while quickly inflicting Attribute Anomaly on enemies. However, before she joins the players’ squads, Proxies will face Jane as an enemy in combat due to her status as an important member of the Mountain Lion Gang. You can certainly count on her agile combat skills, but you might not feel the same when you are on the receiving end.
Seth: An A-Rank Electric Defense character who buffs teammates with a shield and can transform his weapon into a large sword to defeat enemies.
Officer Cui: A new S-Rank Bangboo
New Areas and Events: The New Eridu Public Security area at Lumina Square will be accessible to players. Additionally, the new themed event “Camellia Golden Week” offers various rewards, including Polychromes, A-level W-engine, and other materials through event commissions. Additional in-game events such as Immersive Tactical Drill and First-Class Customer Service, along with upgraded camera functions, will enhance the gameplay experience.
