Publisher EastAsiaSoft has announced that Hakuoki: Chronicles of Wind and Blossom is set to release for the Nintendo Switch on 1 August 2024. This collection is the latest in a range of Idea Factory games brought across to the Nintendo Switch by the publisher, following the likes of Mugen Souls and Mugen Souls 2, with this being a dual-game collection combining Hakuoki: Edo Blossoms and Hakuoki: Kyoto Winds into a single revised edition. This release will be available both digitally and physically, with physical editions shipping from online retailer Playasia in the same week as the digital launch.
To coincide with this release date confirmation, a new trailer has been shared, which can be found below:
Hakuoki: Chronicles of Wind and Blossom is a visual novel adventure focusing on Chizuru Yukimura and the Shinsengumi warriors. Players will navigate Chizuru’s decisions and romances during the late feudal era of Japan.
This compilation seeks to offer a comprehensive experience for both long-time fans and newcomers, and while not featuring major narrative changes or new modes, does proclaim to feature improvements to the English localization based on fan feedback.
The digital edition is priced at US$49.99 / 49.99€ / 388 HKD, with pre-orders opening on the Nintendo Switch eShop on 4 July. A 10% pre-order discount will be available until 31 July.
