In Genshin Impact, character banners have two crucial aspects: the featured 5-star character, who is the primary target for players, and the three 4-star characters, who offer versatility and can fill key roles in various team compositions such as main DPS, sub DPS, and support. As revealed in the recent Version 4.7 announcement by HoYoverse, the first half of this update will include two character banners: ‘Illuminating Lightning,’ featuring the newly playable Clorinde, and ‘Caution in Confidence,’ which showcases a re-run of Alhaitham.
For those hoping that Alhaitham’s re-run would include Kaveh, the only 4-star character I don’t own, you’ll have to wait a bit longer, which is a shame given he is the only 4-star character I do not own, and has not received a single re-run since debuting a year ago. Instead, the three featured 4-star characters will be the newly introduced Sethos, as well as the OG 4-star Bennett, and Thoma.

For those looking to save their Primogems, the second half of Version 4.7 will feature two different banners. The ‘Romaritime Meluserenity’ banner will introduce the new 5-star character Sigewinne, while the ‘Chanson of Many Waters’ banner will feature a re-run of Furina. Whether you are like me and are striving for both new 5-stars, or going for your favourite of the two – may luck shine upon your pulls!
Genshin Impact Version 4.7 will be going live on all servers starting 5 June 2024. Genshin Impact is a free to play, gacha and microtransaction supported, open-world adventure game which is now available on the PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, iOS and Android platforms.
