Serving as a successor to their last major console release in the series with Farming Simulator 22, GIANTS Software has today confirmed that Farming Simulator 25 is currently in development and will be released not in 2025 as one might expect, but rather 12 November 2024 for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC. This release will bid farewell to the last generation of gaming consoles, and in return, boasts a range of new gameplay features, visual upgrades, maps, machines and the inclusion of unique farming options including rice.
Players can manage their farms in three new environments: an East Asian landscape with rice paddies, a North American setting with ample open space, and a Central European location with green fields interspersed with ponds and rivers. The game introduces two types of rice, spinach, and other new crops, bringing the total to over 20. New animals, including buffaloes, join the livestock pens, and players can explore new production chains and construction opportunities. More features are slated to be announced in the months leading to launch.
Farming Simulator 25 also boasts 400 authentic vehicles, tools, and items from more than 150 international brands, such as Case IH, CLAAS, Fendt, John Deere, Kubota, Massey Ferguson, New Holland, and Valtra. With the inclusion of “Asian Farming”, specialised machinery is also introduced.
With the transition to GIANTS Engine 10 and the power of the latest generation of platforms, Farming Simulator 25 also aims to offer enhanced graphics and physics, offering improvements like distance fog, enhanced shadows, dynamic weather effects, and ground deformation, creating a more immersive farming experience.
