Seeking to balance the original designs of the game’s PC-98 release with the modern styles of today, Bliss Brain has shared new graphics for Princess Maker 2 Regeneration, showcasing the work which has gone into bringing the classic simulation RPG to modern platforms. Learn more about each of the new announcements below:
Graphical Style
The updated visuals, crafted by Takahiro Akane, aim to retain the essence of the original PC-98 version while incorporating modern high-resolution detail. You can see some previews of them below. However if you are perhaps looking at picking up the PlayStation version of the game and the original visuals are a big deal to you, you may (or may not) want to reconsider given the next point…

PlayStation Version Delay
Bliss Brain has announced a delay in the release of the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 versions of the game. Originally set for July 11, 2024, the release date has been postponed to 8 August 2024, due to “specification changes”. Namely, unlike the Nintendo Switch, restrictions mean that certain items and endings have had to be removed. Specifically, items that increase the daughter’s bust size and the “Marriage with Father” and “Marriage with Butler” endings will be removed.
No Change to Switch or PC Release
Despite these adjustments, the Nintendo Switch and STEAM versions of Princess Maker 2 Regeneration will be released as planned on 11 July 2024, without any specification changes. Meaning that unless these omissions are important to you — which is fair enough — you can download the game a month earlier via non-PlayStation platforms.
