Square Enix has released Groovy Disco, the second season of FoamStars, their recently released online 4v4 foam party shooter, now available on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4. Running from March 8 to April 12, Groovy Disco introduces a new character, fresh missions, and time-limited events, alongside a range of new cosmetic content available both for free and through purchase.
Season two’s highlights feature a new character named Coiff Guy, who players can unlock for free as a Tier 31 reward in the Season Pass, or instantly via purchasing the Premium Pass purchase for real money. The season also adds three new missions that provide deeper insights into the FoamStars lore and introduce a new adversary, Dark Ramzey.
Additionally, Groovy Disco celebrates with special themed game modes, including the All Coiff Guy Party, where players compete exclusively as Coiff Guy, and the Super Duel Party, a 1-on-1 battle mode. For those interested in competitive play, the season also offers two limited-time ranked events: Ranked Party Lonestar for solo players and Ranked Party Tribe-Vibe for teams.
FoamStars is now available to purchase on the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, following a period of exclusivity via the PlayStation Plus as part of its monthly games program. Regardless of purchase format however, as an online game, it does require an active PlayStation Plus subscription to play.
