Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Arcade: Wrath of the Mutants, an expanded edition of the 2017 arcade game developed by Raw Thrills, is set to launch on 23 April 2024 for both the PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch. This release marks the transition of the game from arcades to home consoles, offering new stages and bosses for players to tackle – and no pesky thing like spending extra money per play.
The game is inspired by the 2012 Nickelodeon series Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and echoes the gameplay style of the classic Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time. Players can embark on the adventure as one of the four turtles – Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello, or Michelangelo – either solo or in a local co-op mode supporting up to four players. The mission spans across various locations, including Coney Island and Dimension X, aiming to defeat the Foot Clan and the Turtles’ arch-nemesis, Shredder.
Promoted features of the game include:
- Double the mayhem with six stages and 13 boss battles, featuring three entirely new stages and six new boss encounters not seen in the original arcade version.
- The opportunity to play as any of the four Turtles, each voiced by actors from the 2012 series: Seth Green, Sean Astin, Rob Paulsen, and Greg Cipes.
- Unique super attacks for each Turtle, along with tokens that allow players to summon mutant allies for assistance in battle.
- A four-player local couch co-op mode, enabling friends to team up in person.
Cradle Games and Raw Thrills developed Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Arcade: Wrath of the Mutants, with GameMill Entertainment serving as the publisher.
