Bungie has announced a mew crossover with CD PROJEKT RED in Destiny 2, aligning with the upcoming Season of the Wish starting 29 November 2023. While one’s mind mind immediately go to thoughts of a Cyberpunk 2077 crossover, instead this collaboration will see The Witcher’s Geralt of Rivia enter the Destiny 2 universe, allowing players to don cosmetics inspired by the famed monster slayer.
The crossover offers a range of Geralt-themed items, including armor ornaments, a Ghost shell, a ship, a Sparrow, as well as a special emote and finisher. These additions may add a distinct flair to the Guardians’ arsenal, blending the worlds of Destiny 2 and The Witcher.
In addition to the crossover, the Bungie Store is set to host its biggest sale of 2023 starting starting Saturday (AEDT). This sale will feature limited restocks of previously retired Bungie Rewards. As an added bonus, all purchases during the sale period will include Darkstar, a free emblem. The sale concludes on December 2 at 3:59 PM AEDT. Furthermore, purchases made from November 25 AEDT onwards will also include the new Wishing Well emblem, complementing the theme of the Season of the Wish.
The Season of the Wish sets the stage for the final showdown in The Final Shape, where Guardians will confront the Witness in a culmination of the Light and Darkness Saga. This season sets out to both bring new content and serve as a prelude to a hopefully intense and anticipated finale in the Destiny 2 storyline.
