CD PROJEKT RED is gearing up to release Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC in just two weeks time, which after a couple of tumultuous years will see a comprehensive package of everything that now makes Cyberpunk 2077 the pretty good action-RPG it now is. This includes the full base game, the Phantom Liberty expansion, and all subsequent updates. It is due to be available on each platform’s respective digital distribution platforms, and physically in select markets starting 5 December 2023.
The Ultimate Edition combines the original Cyberpunk 2077 game, set in the dystopian future of Night City, with the spy-thriller storyline of Phantom Liberty in the isolated district of Dogtown. Players step into the shoes of V, a cyber-enhanced mercenary, navigating a path of survival, crucial decision-making, intense action, and encounters with memorable characters. Notably, the game features performances by Keanu Reeves as rockerboy Johnny Silverhand and Idris Elba as FIA agent Solomon Reed. In the shoes of V, players will have the initial challenge of deciding whether to have their custom character voiced by Cherami Leigh or Gavin Drea.
For those who may have tried the original 1.x version of Cyberpunk 2077, this Ultimate Edition collection also includes the 2.0 Update out of the box, which includes revamped game systems, such as dynamic skill trees, high-energy vehicle combat, and improved AI for enemies and police. Additionally, new weapons, vehicles, and clothing options add further depth to the gameplay. The Ultimate Edition also introduces new digital goodies as part of the “My Rewards” program, accessible to all registered users.
Set for digital launch on December 5th, Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition will also be available in a physical boxed version in select markets. This marks the first time the game is available in a physical format for current-gen consoles, though availability may vary by region.
